Jim Dixon

Since graduation from the Academy in '66, I've had a pretty stable life, having lived and worked in the same area. I graduated from Concordia College(Moorhead) in 1970 and was employed as Adm. Trainee at St. Paul Ramsey (now Regions)Hospital. That same year I married a classmate from Concordia, Donna Daehlin who grew up in Fergus Falls, MN. In 1993, while serving as CEO at the Hospital, we merged with HealthPartners, a large health plan in the Twin City market.

Three years ago I retired after having spent 35 years on the same payroll.(couldn't find a good reason to leave) Donna also retired from the music faculty at St. Olaf College and we are now enjoying the good life....new granddaughter, family time at the lake, volunteering at church, golfing, hunting and fishing(Jim only), and lots of traveling.

I have many wonderful memories of my two years at the Academy from playing football and basketball with great teammmates, to extraordinary choir tours and having to help Albert get the bus over a steep hill or two while traveling through the Ozarks. And I'm sure Mrs. Runestad and Dave Olson have never been quite the same after our many pranks and rowdy behavior in the boys dorm.

Reconnecting with Mary, Don and Greg to help plan this summer's reunion and 60th birthday celebration has been great fun and I'm really looking forward to reconnecting with the rest of you this summer. I haven't seen many of you since graduation.
