My career selling computer systems started in 1976. In 1983, I started the software company, JobBOSS Software, in Minneapolis, to address the manufacturing and financial needs of small manufacturing companies.
We successfully sold the company two months prior to my 50th birthday in 1999.
For the next eight years, I focused on family, volunteer work, consulting and expedition travel.
In November 2007, I decided enough being a tourist and time to be a participant in global development. I once again did consulting, no charge this time, with an international ngo working in my areas of interest.
All this led to the formation of a new international charity, Global Team for Local Initiatives (GTLI)www.gtli.us.
Our goal is to create a new model whereby a higher percentage of dollars donated will directly help the target people live a healthier life.
Currently, we are working with a very remote, isolated tribe in the extreme SW corner of Ethiopia, the Hamar.
